The Hospitality Asset Management Analyst is responsible for monitoring the financial performance of the BDPST hotel portfolio by providing support to Asset Management team in managing and monitoring the financial and operational performance of all relevant hospitality assets.

Roles and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Perform accurate and timely review of the submitted operational reports of hotel operators, and perform the required analysis to the operating results, while liaising with the hotel operators for inquiries and clarifications
Study the operational reports submitted by the hotel operators, consolidate them and prepare input notes on any critical areas for the consideration of the Asset Management team
Conduct the required audits and inspections to the operated hotels and arrange meetings with hotels’ management, to verify the status of operations against the submitted reports
Work with Hotels General Managers for identifying and implementing initiatives for the purpose of saving costs, increasing revenues and enhancing customer experience
Ensure full compliance to Hotel Management Agreement (HMA) controls by hotel operators, and outline any breaches to the agreement to take the required actions
Review and analyze the submitted budgets by hotel operators and provide input to management, in order to challenge and debate the budgets and underlying assumptions
Review and benchmark the trading performance parameters relevant to each hotel operations (i.e., ADR, RevPAR, Occupancy, etc.).
Provide the required support to the Asset Management team to maintain the asset registers of operated hotels
Provide follow up input on the implementation of any planned strategic initiatives as required by the Asset Management team
Conduct ad-hoc research studies as instructed by the Asset Management team; whether related to the review of operated hotels or any other related topics of interest
Contribute in any other work required by the interest of work

Requirement of the Candidate:

Minimum 1-2 years of work experience required in the hotel sector or as a financial controller
Ability to interpret and analyze hotel financial statements and project and model a hotel P&L
Understanding USALI and Hungarian accounting standards
Relevant experience in preparing hotel financial analysis and projections for hotels
Extensive financial modeling capabilities and proficiency in various types of valuation and investment return analyses
Inquisitive and analytical mindset, attention to detail and problem-solving oriented; ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong business writing and communication skills
Passion for the industry and pro-active awareness of tourism/hotel/investment market trends
Experience in and working knowledge of hotel operations and systems
Ability to work with and build financial spreadsheets (in Excel), format documents (Word), prepare PowerPoint presentations, and leverage other web-based tools
Working knowledge of typical contract/legal structure in hospitality, i.e. franchise and management contracts, lease contracts, etc.
