BOTANIQ Castle of Tura

The castle in Neo-Renaissance style, the construction of which was ordered by Baron Sigmund Schossberger in 1883, was underused for decades, and its state deteriorated significantly. Following the extensive historical reconstruction carried out by BDPST Group, BOTANIQ Castle of Tura opened its doors in its original glory with 19 guest rooms, a park with ancient trees on 10 and a half hectares, a wellness division and two restaurants in 2020.

Built in 1883 at the request of Baron Zsigmond Schossberger, the neo-Renaissance-style castle stood unused for decades, with its condition deteriorating significantly. Following a comprehensive historical restoration by the BDPST Group, BOTANIQ Castle of Tura reopened in 2020 in its original splendor, featuring 19 guest rooms, a 10.5-hectare ancient park, a wellness area, and two restaurants.

The rooms range from intimate Superior and Deluxe rooms to elegant suites, allowing guests to select accommodations that best suit their preferences. Throughout the day, visitors can take long walks in the beautifully landscaped park, enjoy the tennis courts, or unwind in the SPA area, which offers unique treatment rooms, a Finnish sauna, a salt room, a steam cabin, as well as indoor and outdoor pools. Additionally, the castle features a separate fitness center with a yoga terrace, available for guests throughout their stay.

BOTANIQ Castle of Tura has gained significant professional recognition since its reopening, receiving multiple prestigious awards. It won the 2021 Landscape Architecture Excellence Award, the Booking.com Traveller Review Awards 2021, and at the International Travel Awards, it was named “Best European Castle Hotel 2021” and “Hungary’s Best 5-Star Hotel 2022.” In 2022, it achieved second place in the FIABCI Real Estate Development Excellence Awards and secured first place in the hotel category. The property was also honored in multiple categories at the Klasszis TopDesign Awards.

Today, BOTANIQ Castle of Tura serves as an exclusive event venue and is available for private rentals.
