BDPST Group Participates in Flood Protection Efforts

As part of the largest coordinated support effort in its history, BDPST Group is actively participating in the national fight against the floods in Hungary. The company is contributing with on-site assistance, financial support, fundraising, and offering trucks and logistical capacities. From September 17, 2024, employees of BDPST Group, under the coordination of the Hungarian Interchurch Aid, have been working in shifts at various locations to help with flood protection efforts. While the company’s F&B units and gastronomy partners provide food for those involved in the fight against the floods, Waberer’s has offered part of its transportation, storage, and logistics capacities, and Granit Bank has supported the cause with millions of forints in donations and has opened a fundraising account to gather contributions for those affected.
A BDPST Hotel Management, BDPST Real Estate Development, BDPST Koncept, Waberer’s, Granit Bank, Granit Asset Management – the entire BDPST Group has mobilized to support the flood preparation and protection efforts, as part of the largest coordinated support effort in the company’s history.
Nearly 100 employees from BDPST Group and its subsidiaries are working in daily shifts at various locations, helping with flood defense efforts coordinated by the Hungarian Interchurch Aid. The company’s F&B units and gastronomy partners have provided and continue to provide hundreds of meals to those fighting the floods.
Granit Bank has created a donation account (12100011-18000737-00000000) to assist those affected by the floods in impacted areas. Anyone willing to support this noble cause is welcome to donate. Additionally, the bank has provided an immediate and substantial financial contribution. The funds collected through the donation account will be offered to the Hungarian Interchurch Aid, which will use the donations not only to support flood protection efforts but also to help those who are expected to suffer damage from what is anticipated to be the largest flood in the past decade.
Waberer’s Group has offered part of its logistical and transportation capacities to aid in flood protection efforts along the Danube River. The Waberer’s Group has collaborated with disaster management authorities for years, as the company considers it essential to contribute its logistical expertise and capacities during crisis situations to support those in need and ongoing efforts.
