BDPST Group has further strengthened its position on the international hotel market after it purchased a company owning a hotel with 43 rooms and another one with 91 rooms in Austria. Located in the Murau ski region, the hotels are to be operated by BDPST Hotel Management, that is, the subsidiary of the group, which is in charge of hotel management. As a result of the diversification of the portfolio, the transaction forms an integral part of the expansion plans of BDPST Group on the hotel market.

BDPST Group has continued its dynamic expansion on the hotel market after it purchased a company owning a hotel with 43 rooms and another one with 91 rooms in the Murau ski region in Austria. BDPST entered the international market in summer, and it has been operating the 84-room Hotel Atrio del Mar in the town of Los Alcazares, located in the province of Murcia, since 15 July 2021. Following the market entry in Spain, it is now Austria coming into focus: the purchased hotels have been operated by BDPST Hotel Management, that is, the subsidiary of the group in charge of hotel management, since October. It is planned to reopen the hotels in December following the necessary preparations.

Relax Hotel is a slopeside accommodation awaiting its guests with 91 rooms at 4-star standards. Its services include a restaurant, a bar, a conference room, wellness, fitness, a bowling alley, a playroom, heated ski storage, bike rental and storage, a spacious parking lot, a gift shop and an outdoor playground. The wellness area has a pool, a children’s pool, two Finnish saunas facing the ski piste, a steam bath, an infrared sauna and massage services. Alpenblick Hotel is one of the first hotels built in the town, and it has 43 spacious family rooms, all of which were renovated in 2019. The hotel offers services at 4-star standards: it has a restaurant and a bar along with an outdoor and indoor pool, sauna world, a salt room, different playrooms, a spacious green garden, a playground and its own parking lot. The hotels are currently closed, and their opening is being prepared by BDPST Hotel Management.

“As a hotel operator, BDPST Hotel Management is looking for further opportunities for expansion abroad, and it aims to benefit from its professional experience gained in Hungary in the field of hotel and restaurant operation in foreign countries, as well. Its professionals have decades of international expertise in hotel development and hotel management, and they provide a full range of operation services to hotel owners at domestic as well as foreign locations. The two new hotels in Austria form an integral part of this strategy: the hotel portfolio involving two wellness hotels in the countryside in Hungary, three city hotels in Hungary and a coastal unit in Spain is thus complemented with two ski hotels”, said Zoltán Somlyai, head of the hotel division of BDPST Group.
