Renewed BOTANIQ Marientvalley Golf Klub Opens – A New Chapter in Hungarian Golf
@BDPST
The fully renovated BOTANIQ Marientvalley Golf Klub has officially reopened and now welcomes golf enthusiasts, active lifestyle seekers, and guests in search of refined leisure experiences as part of the Botaniq Collection lifestyle brand.
The redevelopment was guided by a clear vision: to elevate the club—already home to a community of 400 active members—to meet the highest international standards and to position it among Europe’s top 100 golf clubs in terms of quality and guest experience. The transformation reflects a holistic approach, where golf is not merely a sport, but a way of life—combining physical and mental challenge, social engagement, and rejuvenation in a natural setting. The club aims to make the world of golf accessible to all levels, including beginners, advanced players, young audiences, corporate groups, and families.
Located just 40 minutes from Budapest, nestled in the rolling hills of the Vál Valley, BOTANIQ Marientvalley Golf Klub features an 18-hole championship course originally designed by Austrian course architect Hans-Georg Erhardt. Its varied terrain offers both technical challenges and striking visual experiences. Practice facilities, including a driving range, putting green, and dedicated training areas, cater to both beginners and professionals alike. As of April 1, 2025, the club has also launched its youth development initiative, the BOTANIQ Junior Golf Academy, aimed at introducing the sport to younger generations.
As part of a significant value-preserving and value-creating investment, the Clubhouse has undergone a comprehensive renovation, including a complete interior redesign. A new locker building is currently under construction and will be available from September, featuring men’s and women’s changing rooms, bag storage, trolley facilities, and staff service areas. The Halfway House has also been renewed and continues to operate as a standalone unit between the 10th tee and the 18th green.
The Clubhouse’s new architectural and interior design concept reflects contemporary countryside elegance. Natural materials, open spaces, and earthy tones create a harmonious and aesthetically refined environment for relaxation before and after play. The interior design was developed by 81font, drawing inspiration from Anglo-Saxon design traditions, with a strong emphasis on high-quality materials and the thoughtful integration of classic, timeless forms into contemporary solutions—while preserving the heritage value of the historic building. Custom-designed furniture and lighting play a central role, complemented by carefully selected vintage pieces. The generously designed spaces are ideal for hosting events and tournaments, while also providing an elegant setting where sport and social life naturally converge.
As part of the renewed concept, the club’s gastronomic offering has also been further refined. The restaurant, open to the public seven days a week, reinterprets the signature dishes of classic club culture, with a focus on seasonal ingredients and comforting, home-style flavors. Served in beautifully designed interiors, the lounge, or on the terrace, the culinary experience embodies relaxed elegance, welcoming not only golfers but also guests seeking high-quality hospitality and leisure.
